Renaissance Festival，美國很多地方都有在辦這個活動，辦的時間都不太一樣，像Colorado是在六月跟七月的週末星期六星期天舉行．我跟阿to趁著結束前的一個禮拜去，停車場爆滿，還是有位置停，只是你會看到滿山滿谷的車子停在山丘上．辦的地點在Denver跟Colorado Springs的中間，Larkspur．

這台是Leadville-Colorado Southern，位於挖礦小鎮Leadville，海拔10,152 呎　3094公尺．以前是北美最高運作的城市，曾經有在跑Denver來回，一百五十miles的距離，古老的火車頭大概要花九小時才能到丹佛．不過現在中間有一段鐵軌被拆掉，拆到一個挖礦地方叫climax，現在拿來做觀光火車．火車往山上跑，一覽望去Arkansas River山谷跟San Isabel國家森林，秋天來可以看到金黃色楓葉，這樣來回需要兩個半小時．

以前從來沒有嘗試騎馬，騎馬也算滿特別的經驗．第一次獻給在科州的Buena Vista，有很多時段三十分鐘到一整天的都有，個人選了兩小時．在科州騎馬感覺有在十九世紀淘金潮山上騎馬的Fu．這座馬場位於Buena Vistas南邊的Nathrop，就在兩座14ers， Mt Princeton 14,204呎(4,239公尺)跟Mt Antero 14,276呎(4,351公尺)之間．走285公路轉Chalk Creek Rd(Co Rd 162)進去，也是要登山兩座14ers的路．

Seven Falls是七段階梯狀瀑布位於Colorado Springs，瀑布總共長度181呎(55公尺)，瀑布旁有設一條224階梯到最上面．瀑布的對面峽谷山上也有建立觀景台，有電梯可以上去，想運動也有樓梯．

Rilfe Falls是一個科州州立公園，離丹佛車程大約三個小時半，離Glenwood Springs半個小時．入門要繳公園費，旺季還滿多人去那裡休閒，適合全家大小去的光觀點．公園裡有一條步道，環繞著瀑布一圈，一英里簡單步道．

Manitou Cliff Dwellings位於Manitou Springs, CO，離Colorado Springs大概一二十分鐘．這是印地安Anasazi族的建築，好笑的是，Anasazi以前根本不住在這，也不住Manitou Springs附近，他們生活在西元前1200到西元1300年科羅拉多西南邊four corner地區，也是住在這種懸捱住宅，而且離Manitou Springs數百英里遠．這建於1900年初，拿來當觀光點．石頭是從科州西南邊倒塌Anasazi遺跡，搬到Manitou Springs，在集中成Anasazi式建築，是座科州有名的Mesa Verde古蹟國家公園的"複製品"．

Pikes Peak是科羅拉多其中一座14ers，海拔14,110呎，4,301公尺．總共有三種方式可登頂，一：走路，總共兩條路線，一條要走13英里另一條26英里，登山難度等級一跟二，可參考http://www.14ers.com/．二：開車，全程都是石子路，入口要繳費用．三：火車，世界上最高的齒軌火車，最簡單的登頂方法，全長8.9英里要花費三小時．車站位於Manitou Springs．旺季會很多人，建議網路電話上預約．
